Instech's VAH™ system consists of a small external port housed in a harness which can be installed at the time the catheter is implanted or later after recovery. Attach a 3Fr polyurethane catheter to the 22ga connector inside the harness dome.Access the port manually with a PNP3M injector on a syringe. The port creates a closed system which is critical for extended patency, and the injectors are needlefree. For continuous infusion or blood sampling connect a mating tether.
