The PrecisION hERG membrane prep is a crude membrane preparation with high levels of hERG for use in studying binding affinity of drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting ion channels. This membrane preparation enables assessment of ligand binding affinity via detection of levels of radioactivity. It is derived from our proprietary stable recombinant cell lines to ensure high levels of hERG surface expression. PrecisION membrane preparations can be used to screen for ligand binding affinities at hERG using a competitive radio-labeled ligand approach. Increased binding affinities will lead to higher radioactive signal. Membrane preparations contain 1 mL of 2 mg/mL frozen membranes derived from a stably modified clonal cell line which was chosen for optimal receptor expression.
