Cultivate and isolate fastidious anaerobic bacteria with Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ Anaerobic Reducible LKV Blood Agar. Adding reducing agents lowers the oxidation-reduction potential of the medium and improves the recovery of anaerobic organisms1. Kanamycin and vancomycin are added as selective agents for recovery of gram-negative anaerobes, especially Bacteriodes spp2.
