These kits contain positive and negative controls to monitor test performance.

Human influenza A and B viruses cause seasonal epidemics of disease (known as the flu season) almost every winter. Flu A is known to cause flu pandemics. The Influenza A and B test is performed for the qualitative detection and differentiation of Influenza A virus, including H5N1 and H1N1, and Influenza B virus in nasal/throat/nasopharyngeal swab or nasopharyngeal aspirate.

This kit contains Flu A control dry swab containing inactivated influenza A antigen and Flu B control dry swab containing inactivated influenza B antigen.
