Rhapontigenin is a natural analog of resveratrol with anticancer, antioxidant, antifungal, and antibacterial activities. It is a potent and selective cytochrome P450 1A1 inactivator, demonstrating high selectivity over P450 1A2 and P450 1B1. In vitro, it shows concentration-dependent anti-cancer activity and inhibits TGF-β-mediated epithelial-mesenchymal transition. In vivo, it provides significant protection from pulmonary thrombosis.
