This culture is one of several strains included in a “quorum sensing kit” (ATCC MP-6) developed by the depositor. This strain has the genotype luxN::Cm, luxS::Tn5Kan. It is a mutant sensor strain that is a non-self-stimulating reporter for autoinducer AI-2.
