Activin A (also known as Inhibin, Beta A) is a protein homodimer of beta A subunits of pituitary FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) secretion inhibitor. With the beta B subunit, Activin AB stimulates FSH secretion. Activin regulates gonadal stromal cell proliferation negatively and is suspected to have tumor-suppressor activity. Provided as 10 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
