BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) is a neurotrophin widely expressed in the central nervous system, which acts in an autocrine and paracrine manner on several classes of neurons. BDNF has also been shown to promote neuronal survival and differentiation, and to play a critical role in memory formation and synaptic regulation of neural tissues. It acts as an agonist for TrkB with high affinity, and for LNGFR with low affinity. Provided as 2 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
