Fibroblast growth factor-19 (FGF-19 or FGF-J) protein functions as a hormone, regulating bile acid synthesis and affecting glucose and lipid metabolism. FGF-19 also plays a role in prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. It is a heparin-dependent agonist for FGFR4. Provided as 5 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
