Rose agar is recommended for use as a selective growth medium for the cultivation and isolation of gram-positive cocci from clinical and non-clinical specimens which contain mixed flora.

  • For the selective cultivation and isolation of gram-positive cocci.
  • Rose agar consists of half Columbia CNA Agar and Half Phenylethyl Alcohol Agar Base
  • Contains 5% sheep blood from a veterinary supervised, controlled herd of donor animals. Blood is guaranteed to be from healthy antibiotic-free animals.
  • Polystyrene Petri plates feature raised rings for stacking ability and prevents sliding.
  • Packaged in a sleeve of 10 in a celluose bag that prevents build-up of condensation and excess moisture.
