The Makita Compact Router is a 1-1/4 HP router with variable speed control from 10,000 to 30,000 RPM. It has a soft start feature for smooth startups and an electronic speed maintenance feature that maintains constant speed under load. The compact size of 3-3/8" x 11-3/4" makes it easy to control. It accepts 1/4" and 1/2" collets and has a cam lock system for easy depth adjustments and base removal/installation. The quick release clamp lever allows for coarse height adjustments. It comes with a fixed base, plunge base and straight guide. The double insulation design eliminates the need for a grounding plug.
