Mouse Monoclonal Secondary Antibody

Monoclonal Antibody Specifically detects in Human Samples. It is validated for Flow Cytometry.

The HP6002 monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes the human Immunoglobulin G (IgG) subclass IgG2. IgG2 is the second most abundant IgG subclass in human serum, after IgG1. It consists of two identical heavy chains (encoded by IGHG2) and two light chains (Igκ or Igλ), linked by disulfide bonds. The HP6002 antibody binds to the CH2 domain of the IgG2 heavy chain and does not cross-react with other immunoglobulin heavy chain subclasses. IgG2 is expressed by plasmablasts, plasma cells, memory B cells, and some myeloma or plasmacytoma cells. HP6002 binds to soluble human IgG2, cytophilic IgG2 attached to cells via its Fc region, or human IgG2 antibodies bound to antigens. IgG2 can cross the placenta and is found in extravascular fluids. Human IgG2 functions include serving as an antigen receptor for B lymphocytes (transmembrane form) and participating in effector functions like antibody-dependent neutralization of toxins or microbial infection, and complement fixation (secreted soluble forms).
