Expression Systems offers insect cell lines adapted to serum-free suspension culture in either ESF 921 or ESF AF. The availability of pre-adapted cells saves significant time and expense associated with the adaptation of cultures.
The S2 insect cell line is derived from a primary culture of late stage (20-24 hours old) Drosophila melanogaster embryos. S2 cells are adapted for suspension culture in ESF 921 and are available as a frozen vial or suspension culture.
