UPDATE (Apr 2019):We have decided to discontinue the performance of a sterility test for our Depyrogenated Sample Containers.As part of the production process, all glassware is depyrogenated at extremely high temperatures well in excess of standard depyrogenation process conditions. Additionally, the caps are terminally sterilized by dry or moist heat. These conditions provide for ample assurance that the sample containers are depyrogenated making them suitable for use when performing the Bacterial Endotoxins Test (BET). Therefore, there is no added value or additional quality assurance in subsequently performing a sterility test after processing.
