Shown to induce apoptosis, autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum stress, which consequently leads to cancer cell death. Anti-inflammatory agent. Blocks cathepsin V and thereby inhibits disulfide HMGB1-induced TLR4 activation and cytokine production.
