This rabbit monoclonal antibody is designed to detect endogenous levels of total SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. It recognizes both the full-length (uncleaved) protein and the S1 domain fragment produced by host protease cleavage, reacting with multiple variants, including alpha and omicron strains. The antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gly35 of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein in a region conserved in omicron strains.

  • Validated for use in Western blotting and immunofluorescence (immunocytochemistry) applications.
  • Supplied in a formulation containing 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 μg/mL BSA, 50% glycerol, and <0.02% sodium azide.
