McPherson-Vannas scissors are a fine pair of surgical scissors commonly used in ophthalmic procedures, specifically for delicate dissection and excision of ocular tissues. They may also be used in ophthalmic surgeries for cataract removal, glaucoma, and corneal transplantation. Other surgical specialties, like neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgery, may use McPherson-Vannas spring scissors for delicate dissection and cutting of tissues.
