Five plasma specimens with established reactivity in anti-HIV 1/2 rapid assays

  • May be used as part of an ongoing program for lot acceptance, internal proficiency testing, isolation of system errors and troubleshooting assays, and as part of an ongoing laboratory quality assurance program
  • Positive panel members are naturally occurring, undiluted human plasma samples
  • Three members have various reactivities for anti-HIV-1, one member is reactive for anti-HIV-2, and one member nonreactive for anti-HIV 1/2
  • The non-reactive member is formulated from anti-HIV 1/2 negative pools
  • Panel members were filtered through a 0.2 micron filter; ProClin™ (0.1%) preservative added
