Description

For training, qualifying, and re-qualifying technical personnel in the performance of tests for the detection of antibodies to HIV-1, HIV-2 and HIV-1 group O, and HIV p24 antigen

  • Consists of six members manufactured from human serum or plasma that is negative for HBsAg and antibodies to HCV
  • With established reactivity in anti-HIV-1, anti-HIV-2, anti-HIV-1 group O, HIV p24 antigen and combination assays
  • Members formulated with various reactivities, two for antiHIV-1, one for anti-HIV-2, one for anti-HIV-1 group O, one for HIV p24 antigen and one nonreactive
  • Proclin™ (0.1%) added as preservative
  • Used with Abbott ARCHITECT HIV Ag/Ab and Abbott Prism HIV O Plus test kits
  • Also used as part of ongoing programs of lot acceptance and internal proficiency testing for these assays, to isolate system errors and in troubleshooting, as component of quality assurance programs
  • 1 vial per member, 3.5 mL per vial
