The AEGIS Shaft Grounding Ring is a one-piece stainless steel ring that provides a path to ground for induced shaft voltages. It has a split-ring design that allows for easy installation without having to remove the coupling. This grounding ring fits shafts from 1-3/4" to 3-15/16" diameter and has a 15kA short duration current capacity. It comes with a mounting clip and grounding lug for connecting a grounding wire. The one-piece design eliminates the need for springs or brushes. Overall, this grounding ring provides effective shaft grounding to prevent electric bearing damage in AC motors.
