Description

A sample-to-result, automated, assay that detects Shiga toxin-producing E. coli directly from patient’s stool sample in <2 hours. The assay detects stx1 and stx2, in addition to identifying the hypervirulent serotype O157. Unlike competing tests on the market, this assay does not require an enrichment step.

Utilizes a fully enclosed, disposable cartridge with all the reagents needed to detect the stx1 and stx2 genes, and additional E. coli O157 identification in Shiga toxin positive specimens, without culture for an accurate and efficient patient result.
