Sodium Butyrate (sodium butanoate) is an inhibitor of Histone Deacetylase (HDAC) with established anti-tumor activity. This human endogenous and microbial metabolite induces morphological changes, inhibits cell proliferation, and impairs viability in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cells.
