Unique SpiralPestle Grinder features screw-like pestle to homogenize culture cells, small tissue samples, centrifugal pellets, precipitates and other soft solids. SpiralPestle Grinder actively rotates and conveniently draws 10-100 mg of sample suspended in 200-500ul of extraction solution downward to bottom of 1.5 ml conical micro-tubes.
Ideal pestle disperses soft plant or animal tissues quickly and effectively by macerating and mechanically dispersing samples between the wall of the pestle and micro-tube. Adding glass grinding beads can further enhance sample grinding and its recommended for efficient cell lysis of tissues and microorganisms. Suppied 100 each (pestle and 1.5 ml micro-tube) plus black rubber coupler for use with BioVortexer.
