StableDAB remains active and does not precipitate over a 2 week period at use dilution; at ambient temperature it remains stable for 1 week. At 2-8C it remains stable for 2 weeks. Diaminobenzidine (DAB)is the most commonly used substrate for the histochemical detection of peroxidase. It reacts with HRP to produce an insoluble brown precipitate and can be used in staining tissues and on membranes. The main disadvantage of DAB is that it must be used immediatley to avoid reaction with the enzyme. KPL's StableDAB overcomes this disadvantage and can remain ready-to-use for 2 weeks after preparation. Kit includes StableDAB Peroxidase Substrate and Buffer Concentrate.Smooth muscle actin in skin tissue, using streptavidin peroxidase stained with StableDAB, Contrast BLUE counterstain.
