Protective overskirt on cap

  • Designed for collecting, transporting and maintaining the viability of aerobic, anaerobic and facultative microorganisms
  • Swab tips available in single, double or straight wire format
  • Applicators have color-coded caps with overskirt and biohazard plug-cap rings; extra-long swab shafts; and a labeled, round-bottom, spiral transport tube
  • Transport tubes contain 4mL of semi-solid media
  • Spiral media chamber within a seamless polypropylene tube protects sample and keeps it immersed in media during transport
  • Labels preprinted with lot number, expiration date and product code with space reserved for recording patient information
  • Gamma sterilized and wrapped in sterile, easy-to-peel envelope
