As it burns, tin releases heat, causing the sample to break down more quickly and more completely. Tin capsules are routinely used to analyze polymers, soils, coal, dry dairy products, plant leaves, paper, textiles, calibration standards, and many organic and pharmaceutical products. To use, simply place the sample in the tin capsule and fold the capsule closed. Choose standard size for most PerkinElmer 2400 applications and large size for most PerkinElmer 2410 applications.
