Suc-AAPF-pNA is a chromogenic p-nitroanilide (pNA) substrate with a Km of 1.7 mM. When cleaved, it releases 4-nitroaniline, which is yellow and can be measured spectrophotometrically. This substrate is used for measuring free and membrane-bound cathepsin G in human neutrophils.

  • Used to measure cercarial elastase activity by monitoring absorbance at 400 nm
  • Hydrolysis allows for the measurement of proteolytic activity
