Endothelial Cell Growth Medium 2 is a low-serum (2% V/V) medium that lacks Endothelial Cell Growth Supplement (ECGS, bovine hypothalamic extract) but contains Insulin-like Growth Factor (Long R3 IGF) and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF). Because of its effects on cell metabolism, VEGF may interfere with certain experimental setups.
