Description

Use Level 2 Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 20 mm Crimp Caps with crimp vials that have a 20 mm opening for your high-throughput applications, when robustness and reproducibility are key.

Use Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 20 mm Crimp Caps with crimp vials that have a 20 mm opening, including our SureSTART 10 mL and 20 mL Glass Crimp Top Headspace Vials (Level 2). Select Level 2 products for high-throughput applications, when robustness and reproducibility are key. Choose from aluminum and magnetic steel caps with silicone/PTFE or butyl/PTFE septa of various hardness values designed to reduce autosampler needle issues. Caps with Pressure Release technology will split to allow the safe release of high internal vial pressures. Use Thermo Scientific™ Manual or Electronic Crimpers and Decappers for easy application and removal of crimp caps.

Our performance Level 2 caps are manufactured and tested to ensure low bleeding, robustness, and reproducibility of results for your routine GC-MS and LC-MS analyses.

Level 2 SureSTART 20 mm Crimp Caps feature:
• Pressure Release Cap Design – The cap has a perforated ring which will split if the septum is pushed upwards by high internal pressure. This releases the seal to allow pressure to release safely.
• Molded Pharmafix Septa – These septa are composed of a hard central area of PTFE embedded within an outer and upper covering of a softer butyl elastomer.
• High Temperature Septa – A specialized silicone formulation allows these septa to be heated to over 250°C without excessive septum softening or the release of volatile vapors.
