Select Level 3 products for ultimate performance and sensitivity from your methods, while maintaining the highest levels of sample security and integrity. Choose from a variety of kits containing short thread screw vials with marking spots in clear or amber glass and polypropylene caps with silicone/PTFE septa designed to reduce autosampler needle issues. MSCERT+ (Kits only)
Certified high-performance kits for use with mass spectrometry research applications – with an additional level of security.
Our MSCERT+ kits are tested by both LC-MS and GC-MS to ensure that there are no extractables, leachables, or residual manufacturing agents present in the vial that could generate spurious chromatographic peaks and interfere with your results. They are also tested and certified for up to 15 critical physical specifications to prevent technical/performance issues. Customers receive the test results and certificate of analysis in the kit box. Kit components are pre-cleaned to provide the lowest ion content and particulate levels in the vials to protect sample integrity and guarantee that no dirt or dust from manufacturing is present to affect column lifetime and system performance. Highly recommended for direct injection analysis (DIA).
SureStop Vials & Advanced Vial Closure System (AVCS) Caps:
This patented screw top vial/cap combination features a push-through resistant sealing ring design, controlled septum compression, and SureStop closure positioning flange to ensure an effective seal that eliminates under- and over-sealing, reduces solvent evaporation, and creates less autosampler interruptions. SureStop vials and AVCS caps have universal instrument compatibility for all LC and GC autosamplers. They also contain low leachable levels, making them an ideal alternative to bonded caps for those seeking cleaner spectra.

• Level 1: Everyday analysis

SureSTART Level 1 products are cost optimized, suitable for all instrument types, and quality tested to deliver the performance, sample security, and reproducibility you need for everyday analyses. They are an ideal solution for verifying compound presence and quantification using detection techniques such as UV, RI, and FID.
• Level 2: High-throughput analysis
When robustness and reproducibility are key
SureSTART Level 2 vials have very low metal contents and leachables to ensure that they conform to the high standards you need to meet your regulatory requirements. The septa are conditioned to provide a very low level of chromatographic extractables. These products support routine analyses and deliver high quality data with an uninterrupted workflow.
• Level 3: High performance
When sensitivity is a must
SureSTART Level 3 products are packed in a clean environment according to our own hygiene concept and regulations to protect against contaminating factors. The vials contain the lowest levels of extractable metals and leachables to ensure consistent, reproducible sensitivity and selectivity for the most challenging analytes. The septa are conditioned to provide the lowest level of chromatographic extractables. Choose these products for ultimate method performance and high levels of and sample security and integrity.

SureSTOP vials are designed for compatibility with nearly every LC or GC autosampler. They are part of the SureSTART family, which is tested for autosampler compatibility and specification certified for physical dimensions.
Under stress conditions (e.g., 1.3 mL methanol at 40 °C for 72 h), SureSTOP vials with AVCS closures lose significantly less solvent compared with generic screw-top or even crimp vials. The “definite stop” means the cap is tightened correctly (neither under nor over-tightened) so septum compression is predictable, and cap-tilt or septum displacement (which lead to evaporation paths) are minimized. In workflows where solvent loss or sample concentration change is critical (as for very low volumes or volatile analytes), SureSTOP vials offer measurable improvement.
SureSTOP vials are well-suited for: • GC, LC and MS workflows where volatile or semi-volatile solvents are used and evaporation or sample loss is a concern. • High-sensitivity or trace-analysis workflows where variation in sealing can impact reproducibility. • Labs where autosampler failures (due to cap/tilt/septum issues) are affecting throughput.
Key aspects of SureSTOP vials include: • The “definite stop” design prevents over-tightening (which might deform the septum or the vial neck) and under-tightening (leading to leaks or evaporation). • Achieve the best performance with caps that have Advanced Vial Closure System (AVCS) technology that levels and aligns the cap properly, reducing cap tilt and septum displacement. • Demonstrated lower solvent loss (evaporation) in stressed tests compared with generic vial and closure combinations.
The SureSTOP vials are 2 mL screw-thread (9 mm) vials that incorporate a patented “definite stop point” in the vial finish (alignment ring) so when you use them with AVCS (Advanced Vial Closure System) 9 mm screw caps, you cannot under- or over-tighten the closure. This feature helps solve problems such as inconsistent sealing, variable septum compression, vial/septa push through, sample evaporation, or autosampler failures due to poorly sealed vials.
