The Dow Sylgard 184 Silicone Encapsulant Clear 0.5 kg Kit is a two-part silicone elastomer that cures at room temperature to a flexible elastomer. It is used for potting, encapsulating, coating, and mold making. The kit contains 0.5 kg of base and 0.5 kg of curing agent. It has a 1:1 mix ratio by weight, cures in 24 hours at 25C, has a viscosity of 3500 cP, tensile strength of 6.2 MPa, elongation of 170%, dielectric strength of 20 kV/mm, and volume resistivity of 2.9 x 1015 ohm cm. The operating temperature range is -45 to 200C. It has good adhesion and is resistant to moisture, dust, chemicals, and repeated thermal cycling.
