Taprenepag isopropyl is a highly selective EP2 receptor agonist. It reduces intraocular pressure (IOP) in the right (dosed) eye in a dose-dependent manner in cynomolgus monkeys. In a high-dose group (0.75 mg/day), IOP was reduced to less than 4 mm Hg on Days 22 and 29. No clinical signs or changes in body weight were observed with any dose, and no ocular findings occurred in the low-dose group (0.75 mg/day).
