Description

Tazobactam is a Beta-lactamase inhibitor useful in combination with Beta-lactam antibiotics to increase their potency.

It irreversibly inactivates Beta-lactamase enzymes, preventing them from degrading Beta-lactam antibiotics. Tazobactam has been used in combination with piperacillin and a variety of other antibiotics.
