Product DescriptionTBE (Tris-Borate-EDTA) quick-mix pack prepares 1L of 25X concentrate. Each pack contains 0.089M Tris, 0.089M Borate, and 0.002M EDTA. Tris solutions are effective buffers for slightly basic conditions. Borate, a derivative of boric acid, is a weak proton donor but a Lewis acid that can accept an electron pair. EDTA is a chelator of divalent cations, mainly Mg2+. TBE is most commonly used for nucleic acid electrophoresis.For laboratory use only. Not fit for agricultural, household, clinical use or human consumption.
