Tedizolid phosphate (TR-701FA) is an MAO-A and MAO-B inhibitor that shows activity against Gram-positive bacteria. It is intended for research use only. In vitro studies demonstrate that Tedizolid phosphate (0.25 μg/mL) inhibits all 28 clinical isolates of PRSP, being 4-fold more potent than linezolid against PRSP. In vivo, it achieved a 100% survival rate in mice infected with PSSP type III at a minimum total daily dose of 10 mg/kg, with treated mice showing reduced lung inflammation and edema.
