Description

Teicoplanin is a glycopeptide antibiotic isolated from Actinoplanes teichomyceticus. It is a mixture of several teicoplanins.

Teicoplanin is effective against gram-positive bacteria resistant to Beta-lactam antibiotics. It has been effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis.
