Terbinafine (TDT 067) is an orally active and potent antifungal agent. It is a potent non-competitive inhibitor of squalene epoxidase from Candida, with a Ki of 30 nM. Terbinafine also demonstrates antibacterial activity against certain Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is a click chemistry reagent that contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.
