The directional reflectance/transmittance accessory is the only commercially available accessory which is capable of measuring transmittance and specular reflectance measurements at near normal and oblique incidence at very high accuracy. In both modes of operation, the accuracy of measurement is increased by the ability to make measurements over both positive and negative angles, which reduces systematic errors. This is an excellent accessory for the measurement of the angular dependence of specular reflectance and transmittance on relatively thick samples such as glass.
