Description

Removes silver sulfide contamination from pH electrodes. Mettler Toledo™ Thiourea Cleaning Solution helps maintain electrode performance and should be utilized after measurements and prior to recalibration. Treatment should be applied until discoloration.

The pH electrode is the main actor of pH measurement. It requires special care and attention. The removal of contamination is required before the electrode can be re-calibrated and used for another measurement. Rinsing with deionized water is not sufficient when silver sulfide contamination is present; Thiourea is recommended in this case.
