THORLABS INC THORLABS Zero-Order Vortex Half-Wave Plate, 1 in., m=1, 830 nm
Supplier: THORLABS INC WPV10L830
These zero-order, m = 1 vortex half-wave plates affect radial and azimuthal polarization. They have constant retardance across the clear aperture, with a continuously rotating fast axis.
- When viewed through crossed polarizers with white light, they produce an intensity profile with 2 modulations.
- With linearly polarized light, these retarders generate an m = 2 polarization pattern.
- The donut hole intensity profile from m = 1 retarders is smaller and more circular than m = 2 retarders.
- These polarization sensitive devices produce different output polarizations based on the wave plate's fast axis orientation to the input beam.
- They are mounted in an aluminum housing with an engraving to assist in locating the plate's center point for beam alignment.
- The zero-degree fast axis is indicated by 3 lines.
