The Micro 100 16R729 is a carbide thread mill with a 1/2" shank diameter, 1-1/2" overall length, and 1/4"-28 UNF thread. It has a TiAlN coating for increased tool life and can machine a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and more. With its variable helix flutes, it provides efficient chip evacuation while milling internal and external right hand threads. The thread mill has a neck relief to provide clearance when milling blind holes. It is made in the USA out of micrograin carbide for strength and heat resistance.
