The Micro 100 16R749 is a carbide thread mill with a 1/4" shank diameter, 1/2" max cutting diameter, and 1/4"-28 internal thread size. It has a TiAlN coating for increased tool life and can machine a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and more. With its variable helix flutes, it provides efficient chip evacuation while milling. The thread mill has a right hand cut direction and is made in the USA. With proper speeds, feeds, and depths, it can be used to mill precise internal threads in blind holes or through holes.
