The Micro 100 16R772 is a carbide thread mill with a 1/4" shank diameter, 1/2" max cutting diameter, and 1-1/2" overall length. It has a 60 degree thread angle and can cut unified thread sizes from 4-56 to 1/4-20. The thread mill features Micro 100's proprietary TiAlN coating for increased tool life and can machine a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass, bronze, plastics, and composites. With its sharp cutting edges, this solid carbide thread mill provides excellent thread quality and dimensional accuracy when milling internal or external right hand threads.
