New England Biolabs, Inc. Thymine-DNA Glycosylase (TDG)-500 units

Supplier: New England Biolabs, Inc. M0766L
Thymine-DNA glycosylase (TDG) catalyzes the hydrolysis of the N-glycosidic bond of thymine or uracil mispairs opposite guanine that arise from spontaneous deamination events of 5-methylcytosine (5mC) and cytosine, respectively. The excision of the mispaired thymine or uracil base leaves an abasic (AP) site that can then be chemically or enzymatically cleaved.
- Active on dsDNA
- Monofunctional glycosylase that removes dT or dU nucleobases mispaired with dG to create an AP site
- Removes 5-formylcytosine, 5-carboxylcytosine, 5-hydroxymethyluracil, ethenocytosine, 5-fluorouracilIsolated from a recombinant source
- Supplied with 10X TDG Reaction Buffer
