Immunohistochemical studies of thyroid carcinomas haverevealed that a high portion of differentiated thyroid carcinomassynthesize Thyroglobulin. Positive thyroglobulin staining indicatesthyroidal origin of the tumor. Immunohistochemical and electronmicroscopic findings have disclosed a wide range of cellulardifferentiation in thyroid adenomas.
