Enzo Life Sciences TMRE (ultra pure) (25mg). CAS: 115532-52-0

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences ENZ52309

Positively charged rhodamine dyes (such as rhodamine esters and rosamines) are selectively localized in mitochondria, thus they are widely used for labeling mitochondria of live cells. Like JC-1,TMRE is widely used for measuring mitochondrial membrane potential, in addition to selectively staining mitochondria. Real-time imaging of mitochondrial membrane potential in individual cardiomyocytes within perfused rat hearts has been demonstrated with this dye, using 2-photon laser-scanning microscopy. Wavelength Maxima: Excitation 549nm, Emission 574nm Alternative name: Tetramethylrhodamine ethyl ester perchlorate, 3,6-bis(Dimethylamino)-9-[2-(ethoxycarbonyl)phenyl]-xanthylium perchlorate. Purity: ≥95% (HPLC). Solubility: Soluble in DMSO. Long Term Storage: -20°C.
