Biotium TO Succinimidyl Ester
Supplier: Biotium 40073
The amine reactive succinimidyl ester of TO (thiazole orange) can be conjugated to peptides, proteins, drugs, polymeric materials and biomolecules with primary amine groups. The conjugates are expected to be essentially nonfluorescent until they are able to complex with nucleic acids, resulting in green fluorescence. The conjugates are useful for studies of nucleic acid binding to various biomolecules, such as DNA-binding proteins. Other TO dye conjugates with solid or semisolid matrices, such as microspheres, magnetic particles or various resins, are useful for the detection or affinity isolation of nucleic acids. TO dye has an excitation/emission of 512/533 nm when bound to DNA. Properties: Orange solid; Store dessicated at -20°C, protect from light; Ex/Em= 512/533 nm (with DNA); C28H28N3O4S; MW: 503.
