Neosporin Original Ointment is an antibiotic ointment used to help prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It contains three antibiotics - neomycin, polymyxin B, and bacitracin. It is available in a 1/32 oz packet, a 1/8 oz tube, or a 3 oz tube. The active ingredients work to fight infection and prevent minor skin infections from getting worse. Neosporin can kill common bacteria that can cause infection and help keep the affected area clean as it heals. It is for external use only. Apply a small amount to cuts or scrapes 1 to 3 times daily. Use on children 2 months of age and older. See warnings on label.
