Description
- Trifluoroethylene (trfe) can be used as a monomer unit for the preparation of fluoropolymer (poly(trifluoroethylene)), which finds application in microelectronics, protective/anti-adhesive coatings, chemical industry and li-ion batteries. trfe is also used to synthesize copolymer composites with vinylidene difluoride for various applications.it can also be used to prepare:
- Pentafluoroethane by reacting with xenon difluoride
- Lithium (trifluorovinyl)trimethoxy borate by treating with trimethyl borate and n-buli
- 2,2,3-trifluorooxirane
