Troglitazone is a selective agonist of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ (PPARγ, EC50=555 nM) with no activity for PPARα or PPARδ. Troglitazone is a synthetic antidiabetic and anti-inflammatory drug previously prescribed to patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, but was withdrawn from the market in 2000 due to toxicity issues. Provided as 5 mg of dry powder. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
